Markus Granlund elected as the Chair of ABS Finland

Professor Markus Granlund from the Turku School of Economics was elected as the Chair of ABS Board for the mandate 2017-2018.

Markus Granlund is a Professor of Management Accounting and the Dean of the Turku School of Economics and served as the Vice-Chair of ABS during 2015-2016. Markus’ research interests cover a wide range of technical and behavioral issues in management accounting and information systems. He has published widely in respected scientific journals and also serves such journals in many editorial roles (Associate Editor, Guest Editor, Editorial Board member, reviewer). Markus has taught courses on management accounting and information systems, including executive education. Markus has also been involved with a number of development projects concerning accounting and information systems in major companies and public sector organizations in Finland and abroad. His hobbies include soccer and ice hockey.

Rector Karen Spens from Hanken School of Economics continues as the first vice-chair and Professor Sami Saarenketo from Lappeenranta University of Technology was elected as the second vice-chair.
